Chinaplas 2008 will provide the first opportunity in the People’s Republic of China to see Lloyd Instruments’ Chatillon® TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester (1 kN / 225 lbf). This is an advanced, stand-alone force testing system optimized for production, quality control and engineering applications.
The new Chatillon TCD225 Series Digital Force Tester features a rugged frame with high-performance, closed-loop motion control and an intelligent load sensing system with measuring accuracies better than 0.1% full scale. The system allows users to create limit, break, cycle and loop tests or tests based on ASTM, BS, DIN, ISO, and TAPPI standards without a computer or application software. The system may be used for tensile, compression, COF, and flexural testing or for complex multi-variable testing on springs or medical devices. It may also be used as a height indicator. Heights can be measured from multiple datums or absolute position. Deflection compensation is standard. Tests may be performed at 0.001 to 50 inches per minute (0.02 to 1270 mm/min). Data sampling is configurable to 1000 Hz.
The TCD225 System’s large working area is ideal for both large and small samples. Travel lengths up to 20 inches (500 mm) are possible. The T-Slot table design supports custom sample fixtures. The multi-lingual operator control console features a high-resolution colour graphic display providing simple operation with menus, prompts, function keys and status indicators. Chinese and Korean language display options are available. Results can be displayed in tabular or graphical format for easy viewing. SPC is supplied as standard. A USB output allows data to be saved directly to a Flash drive, or exported to Excel or OLE2 formats.
Also on show is a selection of instruments from the Lloyd Instruments’ impressive range of materials testing equipment for plastics, packaging, rubber and more. This includes the new Davenport PETPlus instrinsic viscosity measurement instrument for PET and the MFI-10 Melt Flow Indexer. The FTPlus friction tester, the 5kN LRXPlus (equipped with an EX800Plus long travel extensometer) and 10kN LR10KPlus materials testing machines are also on show.
