Lloyd Instruments will be demonstrating its comprehensive texture analysis capabilities at Food Ingredients Europe 2007, with no less than 4 TAPlus Texture Analysers and a wide selection of load cells on display, together with a host of food analysis accessories and a Chatillon test stand. The TAPlus is an easy to use instrument for evaluation of textural properties (hardness, stickiness, gumminess, adhesiveness, bloom strength etc) of a wide range of raw and processed food products at all stages of manufacture. It can perform rapid, detailed texture profile analysis for applications up to 102 kgf (1 kN, 225 lbf).

Some of the TAPlus instruments will be demonstrated under computer control, using the latest NEXYGENPlus test and control software. NEXYGENPlus provides an extensive library of pre-defined test set-ups based on international standards, and can also be used to set up routine tests or create an advanced multi-stage test. Still picture and video capture are also included in the software as well as a powerful security and audit trail module to provide 100% traceability, full automation capability for automatic testing and much more.

On show from the large range of specially engineered jigs, probes and fixtures for food texture testing applications will be a General Food Probe Kit, a Bakery Accessories Kit, a Gel Bloom Kit to BS757, a Food 3 Point Bend Jig, a Volodkevitch Bite Set, a Magnus Taylor Puncture Probe Set, a Back Extrusion Cell, a Kramer Type Shear Cell, an Ottawa Forward Extrusion Cell, a Warner Bratzler Shear Blade Set and a Knife Edge Probe Set. 

Also on show will be the LCTM-100 force tester and DFS-100 forces gauge from the Chatillon range of force measurement instruments which includes mechanical and digital force gauges for handheld and test stand applications.  They are used in a variety of applications in the food industry for hardness testing and general force measurement where fast, accurate, quantitative results are required in the production environment.
